Well, then. My name is Merideth Charleston and I will be your boss. To start off this dandy interview, what's your name?" [/style]
the brunette walked into the room, her hands fidgeting at her sides. from her body language, it was obvious that she was nervous, but her face hid it well. she wore a large smile that reached all the way up to her hazel eyes. the young woman looked all of her small five foot, three frame and probably weighed no more than one hundred and fifteen pounds. she looked graceful, poised, and not intimidating in the slightest. she came around the front of the dean's desk, so that she could sit in the chair and hide her nervous tendencies.
"i'm gisele cailan! it's so great to finally meet you in person, merideth. i'm really looking forward to this interview for the position of your assistant."
she placed her hands gently in her lap, lacing her fingers together to stop them from revealing her uneasiness. expressing herself with words was much more difficult than it appeared. she was so used to expressing herself in different ways, such as dance or art. her voice sing-song voice was riddled with a shaky confidence.
"i'm twenty five years old and made it a point on my birthday, which is july fourth, to find the perfect job for me. now that i'm finally out of school. i'm really hoping this will be a good fit."
{style=width: 501px; background-color: 141414; font-size: 10px; padding: 5; font-family: garamond; color: 7a6252; text-transform: uppercase; text-align:justify; letter-spacing: 1; border-top: 10px solid #0f0f0f; border-bottom: 10px solid #0f0f0f;}"Good, good. If you're going to be faculty at Ashes, we have to know we can trust you. What have you done in the past?"[/style]
"oh, of course! trust is obviously important. well, to start it off, i was born in a small south african village. both of my parents are plastic surgeons who worked for doctors without borders. they helped young children with potentially fatal birth defects. shortly after i was born, my parents relocated back to upstate new york where they were both originally from. i was ten years old when my parents graced me with a little sister. oh, she was just beautiful. she looked similarly to me when i was just a baby. i grew up taking care of my sister as a sort of pseudo-mother. our parents both worked quite a bit and it was always highly unlikely that more than two of us were home at one time, let alone all four of us.
i had always gone to very prestigious private schools. schools that instilled great discipline and work ethic. anything less than a four-point-oh was unheard of in my school and my family. my parents always just assumed that i was trying to be a surgeon similarly to them, but my need to be a teacher was so much stronger than the need to appease their dreams for me. i was always tutoring the younger children in the school, helping them with whatever issues they were struggling with, whether it be scholarly or personal. i was almost always helping others, and when i wasn't doing that, i was dancing. ballet was my calling. everyone had told me how graceful i had always been. and, apparently, i had been dancing from the day i was born. i spent hours at the studio, but always had enough time to study and tutor others, including my sister who attended the same private school.
the year that i was graduating, my sister was eight years old. it was a very stressful point in my life. i was offered a position at an international ballet troupe, i was readying myself for a future at an ivy league school, and... well, we discovered my sister had a gift. she has the uncanny ability to change her molecules around so that she can phase through walls and other solid materials. it got a bit annoying when she learned that she didn't have to knock on doors for people to allow her in, she'd just melt through them.
it was hard leaving my sister behind, but it was necessary for my future. i moved to london, a place that i had dreamed about moving to. there, i studied to be a teacher. i majored in english education with a minor in ancient mythology. i had to forsake my dancing for a while as i studied, but i still practiced for hours on end. all throughout school, i had never had the chance to focus on pursuits of the more... romantic kind. however, when i lived in london, it opened my eyes a bit. i started being able to enjoy myself more, and found comfort in men who were similar to me. needless to say, london changed my life incredibly. i graduated only two years ago, just about the time my sister wad admitted here to this school. that's when i saw that you were hiring for this position and i was ecstatic to come and try and woo you."

Speaking of lying: what are you like? But, more importantly, are you gifted?"[/style]
"oh, you'll never hear a lie come from me. i'm a very simple woman. there's nothing i love more in this world than helping others. i'm generous with all that i have, because wealthy isn't something that's very important to me. i'll go out of my way to help someone, even if they don't really want it. i've had to force myself into a motherly position a few times before. with that being said, as kind as i like to think that i am, i'm not a push-over. i will stand up for myself if need be, non-violently of course. i've always preferred to sort out my issues with my words, not my fists. not like i could do a lot of damage anyways. i'm not gifted like my sister, no. sometimes i wish that i were, but i was not so lucky."
although she thrived on being a kind and gentle soul, gisele also had a different side. a side that she was not willing to discuss with her future boss on account that it was a bit too much information. gisele could be, at times, a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. she got stressed easily and when she gets stressed, she gets upset. she can be snippy and sarcastic. her fuse becomes incredibly short and she can't stand to deal with ignorant people. being that she's completely in-tune with her body, however, she often isolates herself when she's stressed simply so she won't hulk out on her peers.
you know that phrase 'a lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets'? yeah, well, that term was made for gisele. after going years without any sort of sexual interaction with men, when she became open to it, she gained a bit of a sexy side. she found herself completely in love with the whole sensual side of her. she simply loves, love. it's not even so much about the personal connection, as one might think, she just enjoys being intimate with someone because she can. she actually can't stand the idea of having a long-term relationship at this point in her life. she just wants to have fun for as long as she can before the need to nest comes on strong.

If you were to leave Ashes, what would you do with your life? What do you want to become?"[/style]
"to put it simply, i'd just like to serve you for as long as you're the dean of this school. i'd also like to serve the children in order to help make them better citizens. and once you have served out your long service to this school, i just hope that i would have proved myself by then, and could possibly take over your role."
