WE TAKE IN STUDENTS THAT ARE GIFTED IN DIFFERENT ASPECTS. WE SHOW THEM HOW TO CONTROL THEIR GIFTS AND HOW THEY CAN LIVE A REGULAR LIFE WITH THEIR GIFTS. Ashes School of the Gifted is a a very peculiar, strange school. They not only harbor people, but they harbor gifted people. Are you now asking yourself: what is a gifted person? Someone with a gift! A special power with which they can do phenominal things. Have I told you the story about the man who would walk through walls? Hmm, that's one to save for later, isn't it? Ashes is like a college in which they take students into dorms. However, they are different because you must stay in these dorms... even during summer. When your parents send you here, it's for good. You're there, eating Ashes food, drinking Ashes drinks, sleeping on Ashes beds and constantly being taught by Ashes teachers. There is no escape; it truly is an asylum locked tight from the outside. No one who has gone in has ever come out... unless you're a Senior and you graduate, of course. The doctors and teachers of Ashes are able to leave the school campus to go home to their loving families. However, students are required on campus at all times. Sometimes, you are forced into Ashes. Your gift gets out and people report you. Next thing you know, you're kidnapped by men in black suits that force you into the school whether you like it or not. Your parents have no say; they are told you require special attention and that's it. This school is very controlled by the government so no one knows its true secret. Any student who leaves Ashes once they graduate will always be watched. If they slip up, they're gone. They're magically erased from the world and never spoken of again. Once you enter the school, a bracelet is put onto your ankle. No matter how gifted you are, there is no way of getting that bracelet off your ankle... unless you please a faculty member, of course. Normally, Ashes is seen as a juvenile school. The tracker bracelets, the cell-like dorm rooms, and juvinile confinement makes it seem that way. The campus of Ashes is not a small one. The school is equipped with many things to arm itself against the gifted. they have walls surrounding the school which nullify your gifted powers. No one can walk through it, or teleport around it, or fly over it. Guards stand at towers a few yards apart from each other with stun guns that hast enough shock to make you pass out for several days. If that somehow does not work, they have real guns. They are not afraid to kill on sight if student threatens another. Even with all this high security, the word of it never seems to enter the real world. The parents never know about the guards or the guns. Students aren't allowed to contact their parents when they get on site. Their cellphones are taken away and never seen again. A nice pat-down, metal detector, and brief x-ray of any luggage quickly gets rid of those. A student may be able to send a letter out, but there are rumors that the staff read the letters to make sure there are no messages about the school or any secret codes. If they do suspect it, you curiously never see a reply.
