We will gladly accept you with open arms, but first... what is your name?"[/style]
the male landed with a sickening thud, his face greeting the ground in welcome. he did nothing but groan softly, rolling on the roll and blinking his eyes open. "top job, boys" he purred, coughing up a fresh wave of blood and laughing. lex crawled, gasping for breath as he rose to his knees, his pale grey-blue eyes shifting to their left, hearing two sets of feet shuffle out of the room. "finally we're alone" he joked, flicking back his head and cracking his neck. "busy little bee, aren't we? well merri" he paused, touching his lip and examining the cut. "my name is lex de luca, you heard right, no middle name" since he was a child, lex had only gone by the name 'lex' as opposed to his formal, birth name, vincent. a move aimed to stop people to growing too close, or rather learning of his real history. "eighteen, gorgeous" he purred again, wiping a fresh wave of blood from his face and moving to a sitting position on the floor. "mass murderer extraordinaire, at your service" another laugh fluttered from his lips, followed by a cough. "mmm my fathers lackies... " his voice droned off as he scrambled to his feet, hiding a wince and enjoying a stretch as he reached his complete height of six foot exactly. for a boy of only eighteen years, it was considered quite tall.
lex stretched, rolling his shoulders in a counter clockwise direction before finally bringing his eyes to rest on the dean. a little smirk worked its way back onto his defined face. his jaw was wide and strong, a feature his grandmother had said made him look all too similar to a younger version of his father. normally, he sprouted a thin layer of stubble, bringing people to believe that lex was far older then he appeared (usually the male was thought to be somewhere about twenty three, twenty four) but today he stood before the dean cleanly shaven, if a little battered and bruised. his head stood firmly on strong, wide shoulders, built from hours spent at the gym and a healthy, active lifestyle. everyday lex was caught jogging in the wee hours of the morning. it kept his mind at ease and quelled his growing anger management issues. his weight was just above the standard, at roughly 89 kilos, it accounted for most of his muscle mass. his dress sense left much to be desired. lex preferred darker colours, normally blacks or shades of grey and deep blues (he claimed, sarcastically that they brought out his eyes). almost always lex wore a pair of jeans or casual cargo pants, coupled with an open tee and an obscure or provocative slogan scrawled on its centre.

Now, before we can accept you, we must know what your records are. Can you tell them to me, please?"[/style]
"my records?' he laughed, flicking his hair to the side and rolling his eyes. did she honestly have a few years spare? by the looks of her, he assumed she didn't "why don't you tell me, deany". lex let himself fall into a chair, draping himself lazily over it. the male did not look up, choosing a spot to focus upon on the floor. his history was nothing short of disturbing, though the absolute origins for his personality and behavioural problems were unknown. "its all in your pretty little files" pursing his iips, lex's head lulled backwards as he forced himself to brutally recall his childhood. lex had an older brother of one year, who was arguably the favourite of the pair. his father kept him close, spending most of his free time entertaining him over lex. as for a mother, well, she had died giving birth to lex (possibly a cause of his fathers eventual hatred of his youngest son). lex had long since speculated his mother's death had something to do with his gift, though the real reason remained unknown -- the death had simply been cast aside, remained unquestioned by lex's father, vincent de luca, (ah, and so the reason he chose lex as his name comes apparent). with a sigh lex lent forward, clasping his hands together in his lap and looking directly at the dean "i do hate a nosey woman" he growled.
in the beginning, lex got along quite well with his brother. the two played together in the family backyard, as any young boys would. however, as time pressed onwards the pair grew further apart. lex begun taking great delights in the outdoors, burning ants with a magnifying glass in the weird twisted hope he would catch the attention of his father. he even took to the task of identifying things his father liked - archery, alcohol and other such pastimes and making a point to talk or even discuss them (though the conservations were often ignored, brushed to the side or just deemed as odd, the mad ravings of a freakish deadly child). it became apparent quite quickly by the time he had reached the tender age of eight that his father was making a solid effort in shunning lex. inviting him only to the daily family dinner and cooing over his older brother. the only time vincent would take out of his day to address the increasingly detached child was to call him names or signal him out as inferior to his brother. but make no mistake, he hardly took it standing down. time after time, his brother stood up for him, fighting for lex in front of his father. but the male never listened -- and eventually lex grew to hate his sibling.
for the majority of his early teens, lex spent a great deal of time going out of his way to piss off his sibling. purposefully picking fights with his brother where ever possible and laying the blame on him for all his problems. by the time he was fourteen. lex had discovered his ability. the realisation struck him once he met a female in highschool, rose, he called her. she was the very picture of everything beautiful -- from her smile to the way she held herself. she was the first person to take notice in him, and quickly lex developed an obsession. if there was one thing to take away about lex, it was this. his emotive state was royally fucked up. he had never developed moderation, and so when he felt anger, dislike or jealously it was generally pushed to its bitter limits. likewise it occurred with love, it seemed and what could have been something sweet and possibly life changing, was pushed to the extreme. lex obsessed over rose, following her everywhere she went, confronting her and pressuring her to the point where she stopped talking to him. he would call her his own. soon, though, things changed as she pushed him away and lex found out she liked another. the name escaped him, blind with rage he could remember holding his life in his hands. his blind rage mixed with his power, biological manipulation, did him no good. disease formed and spread over the teen's skin like wildfire as did deformations.
life at home likewise didnt get much better. time spent at his family home had quickly descended into chaos. when the forgotten child of the de luca family arrived home the evening of the boy's death, hands shaking in both fear and complete exstacy. he remembered his father's yelling like yesterday, the male, just like he had been, threw himself into a blind rage. throwing objects across the room as lex stood silently in horror, unblinking. "i should have killed him then and there" he mused, cracking his knuckles and running his hand down the chair's arm. "but i didn't" lex let a sigh escape his lips, frowning as he tiddled his thumbs. he supposed that was one of his biggest weaknesses. his father and seeking that all needed approval. that night he took whatever abuse vincent had thrown in his direction. and such treatment continued, behind the back of his brother. luckily for him he could hide some of the bruises and cuts, stopping the majority of permanent scarring from leaving any lasting effects. "the fuck is my reason for being here today, deany" he stated. just like countless others, he had been taken from his home, undoubtedly by request of his father, overnight, by the two burly guards. "i wont bore you with any further details" lex's story was far from over, he had omitted many of the details, choosing to repress the majority of his life in the deep recesses of his mind. this young teen had so many secrets bottled up inside him, brewing in a sea of hatred and rejection, just waiting to explode.
{style=width: 501px; background-color: 141414; font-size: 10px; padding: 5; font-family: garamond; color: 7a6252; text-transform: uppercase; text-align:justify; letter-spacing: 1; border-top: 10px solid #0f0f0f; border-bottom: 10px solid #0f0f0f;}"Fascinating. Seeing as you'll be on the campus of Ashes, we must know what your personality is like. Are you gifted?"[/style]
lex carefully raised a brow, eyeing the dean. "of course i'm gifted" he replied snarkly, snearing at the woman. i mean, look at the gentleman? was he not a ray of fucking sunshine? you shouldn't honestly say he wasn't blessed or 'gifted' genetically. he did of course know that the comment extended far beyond his looks and leaned more towards his talent. that little hidden ability of his "and wouldn't you just love to know what that was" his voice went lower, bright blue eyes staring up at the dean with a touch of a smirk making its way onto her face. "i like to call it, biological manipulation" he twirled his hand in front of his face, giving it a tight squeeze. over the years he had gotten a good handle over his gift, relishing in the ability to manipulate the different aspects of a species biological make up. he could do a variety of things concerning living organisms; from the creation & curing of disease and ailments to this weird mild ability to heal the human body (the extent of his power still did remain unknown to the teen however). "it just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, seeing someone in pain... knowing i created that" he let out another laugh, eyes flickering to the door and hoping those two idiots were still outside "fancy a demonstration?" he teased, placing a hand dangerously on the edge of her large desk.
the male pursed his lips, tapping his bruised chin lightly. "i am a man of few words" he spoke lightly, spreading his arms out to either side and laughing lightly. lex was a simple young man, he enjoyed the basic things in life -- sex and women, like any normal person, but also relished in the far more exotic pastimes -- murder. "haven't you ever felt the rush, the thrill of taking a life?" lex had, several times now. it all started with a girl, jealousy took over when he found out she had another man in her life. he could remember the look of horror spread over his face as his body slowly started to deform and all sorts of foul and vile diseases popped, brewed and spread across his skin. "I do love determination" he pointed out, running his fingers down the length of her desk, inspecting the layer of dust that now coated his finger. "and lets not forget courage" his tone had taken a sarcastic turn, as small rounds of chuckling escaped him.
"and as for hates" he murmured, inspecting his nails. "well deany, your slowly working your way into that category" lex never liked nor appreciated a sticky beak. and today this person had done far too much prying for his liking. the male paced the room, walking slowly over to the corners of the office and examining her collection of books. "i don't appreciate taddle tales" he stated bluntly. ugh those people just didn't know how to enjoy themselves, the good guys, as he named them, always trying to work their way into his little plans and crush them. "and liars - ah a liar... how i loathe them" his voice took an even deeper tone, growling at the dean. lex did not take betrayal lightly, when one committed to his little gang (yes he had no friends, only minions or followers), there was no turning back until the bitter end. you only left his side in a casket.
"hobbies?" lex scoffed, running a hand through his hair, his eyes glowing mischievously. "i would have thought you'd figured that one out, already deany" he teased, extracting his little pocket knife and running the delicate, fine edge down his finger, piercing the tip lightly "i'm not afraid of pain" that much was for sure, he had purposefully left the bruises that marred his skin there, as a sign of his strength and i suppose, a mark of his growing insanity. "but torturing people, oh my merry dean" his hands smacked down on the desk's surface, eyes alight with passion "that, that is my hobby... "

When you come to Ashes, it is very easy to get mixed up on what you want to do later in life. Let's clear up that confusion now while we have the chance. What would you like to do in the future?"[/style]
"well deany" he begun sarcastically, pulling out a cigar from his jacket pocket and lighting it up. an obtuse thing to do, in front of a head of the school. "getting out of this fuck hole seems like mighty fine dream right now" he never said he was one to abide by the laws and rules of common courtesies. "maybe causing a bit of a mess around the place, you know? fuck some people up, few stabbings, a few deaths... you people think you're safe" he scoffed, pointing a finger in her direction and flicking his cigar "but you're all wrong... i'll fucking show you" this marked the beginning of a long, twisted descent into oblivion. lex's mind was still young and not completely lost to the world. however, it would not be long before he reached the point of no return, and all form of sanity was completely removed from his conscious mind.
